| Personal History | Jade was conceived during a passionate encounter between her mother and a young Starfleet officer. Their time together was relatively short lived and he never knew that he had a daughter. Jade was raised between her homeworld Drax, and going back and forth between starships and planets with her mother. It was during all this that Jade took an interest in a life that would take her out amongst the stars. She also showed a natural affinity in caring for others and as such she chose to study on Betazed during her university years, taking Psychology and Counselling as her main studies. Once she graduated she applied, and was accepted at Starfleet Academy. She was extremely hard working, becoming a well liked and diligent student. She graduated four years later top of her classes. It was during her years at the Academy that she met Alexander Johnson. A handsome, charming man fourteen years her senior, not that age was a problem. She instantly fell head over heels in love. They married just before Academy Graduation but Jade was still assigned everywhere her husband wasn’t. She spent every holiday she could with Alexander, stretching to shoreleave time once she was assigned to her first Starship. It was during their shoreleave time together that Jade fell pregnant with their first child, unfortunately an injury that occurred during an attack on the USS Chamberlain lead to Jade’s losing their child. She took it hard, but vowed to try again in the future. Jade eventually decided to take a two year hiatus from her role as ships Counsellor to spend with her husband, not having been assigned to the same ship she was finding a long distance relationship difficult, and she also wanted to try for another baby. It is only now that she is six months pregnant, that she’s finally been assigned to the USS Iroquois as Chief Counsellor. |
