| General Overview | Nani is always trying to be 'cooler' than anyone else. She's rather aloof when it comes to crowds, choosing only to speak when someone does something stupid so she can make fun of them. She's 'almost' hot. Nani's considers her hips just a bit too wide, her chest just a bit too small, and her nose just a bit too flat for her to be actually beautiful. It doesn't matter to her though as she takes all in stride. |

| Strengths & Weaknesses | Nani has a photographic memory. She also has a sort of sixth sense when major things are about to happen (think Radar from M.A.S.H.) which is rather helpful when piloting. She downplays both of these attributes simply calling them 'luck' so she doesn't stand out in the crowd. | |

| Personal History | Nani was born on the Hawaiian island Oahu. She spent every day she could swimming and surfing. When the day was over she would sit up at night and watch the stars and wonder 'what the hell is out there?' She was a straight 'A' student in school. She seems to absorb information like a sponge. She was always picked on, however, because being a bookworm was 'uncool'. It became something she resented for a long time and in some ways still does to this day. She joined Starfleet by attending Starfleet basic training. She opted for that instead of going to the Academy because she didn't want to deal with people who would think her 'uncool'. She breezed through basic training and her first assignment is he USS K'Hotan. She served there as the command staff's yeoman. She more or less took over the first officer's office and decorated it according to her own tastes, despite what the executive officer of the ship wanted. There are potted palm trees in every corner and tiki torches around the desk. Her favorite surfboard hung on one wall. The floor was covered with white sand and Elvis music played softly in the background constantly. Nani frequents the holodeck with surfing and cliff diving programs. She will teach anyone who wants to learn how to hula properly. By 2393 she decided it was time to upgrade herself by attending Starfleet Academy. She graduated with better than average grades majoring in navigation and flight control. She also earned a marksmanship award for proficiency with hand-held phasers. Upon graduation, Nani was promoted to Ensign and received a commission onboard the Starbase 56. After a year there, she was reassigned to the USS Iroquois. |
