The year is 2401, two years after the Borg, led by Dr Jurati/Borg queen was granted provisional membership in the federation. Given that they maintain their word and protect the Conduit that was opened up by an unknown force.

The USS Iroquois, a brand new Excalibur Class Starship is launched. With its impressive size, the Iroquois is built for long range exploration missions in deep space. Therefore Starfleet assigns a new task for this new Starship, to venture through the transwarp conduit, discover what lies on the other side and attempt to make peaceful first contact with whoever they find.

Under Command of Captain Alexander Johnson, the Iroquois will boldy go where no one has ever gone before!
